Building a Greener Future & Alleviating Poverty

Since 2017, GAHCA-Ghana has been promoting climate action in Africa through documentaries, short videos, and voice messages in local languages, which are broadcast on TV, radio, and social media.

Our climate-resilient initiatives focus on developing interventions to support women, youth, children, and farmers who are directly and severely affected by climate change and poverty.

We also construct boreholes to improve access to clean water in communities impacted by climate change and those that are underserved.

How we make a Difference

Climate Action Initiatives

We focus on educating Ghanaian communities about environmental conservation and climate resilience through community outreach, radio, television and social media to share informative content, including voice notes and short videos on environmental conservation, presented in English and local languages to ensure we reach a wider audience.

Educational Support

We believe that education is a powerful tool for breaking the cycle of poverty caused by climate disasters. We provide financial aid to students from marginalised communities and low-income households whose farmlands have been devastated by climate change. Additionally, we repair broken school furniture and rehabilitate schools in poor condition in climate-impacted areas.

Clean Water for Communities

We construct boreholes to provide clean, safe drinking water to communities experiencing prolonged drought or whose water sources have been contaminated by chemical pollution, environmental degradation, or other climate-related impacts. We also repair non-functioning community boreholes, bringing them back to full operation.

Climate Disaster Relief & Recovery

We provide immediate and long-term assistance to individuals, including farmers and communities affected by climate-related disasters, to rebuild their lives. We also respond with emergency relief supplies during climate disasters in Ghana.

What is GAHCA–Ghana?
GAHCA-Ghana is a non-profit organization committed to promoting climate action and building resilient communities through climate awareness, access to clean water, educational scholarships for youth, disaster relief, economic empowerment for women and farmers, and support for communities affected by climate change and poverty.
How can I get involved?
You can volunteer, partner with us, or donate. Opportunities include community outreach, media support, advocacy, fundraising, and corporate partnerships.
Where do my donations go?
All donations are directed to our climate education programs, clean water projects, disaster relief efforts, and educational support for marginalized youth. We maintain full transparency on project impact.
Who benefits from your projects?
Communities and individuals most affected by climate change, including those facing floods, droughts, lack of clean water, and limited access to education.
Can I volunteer if I’m not based in Ghana?
Yes! Remote volunteering opportunities are available, especially in advocacy, media, fundraising, and grant writing.
